Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Voice Ideas — the apps, websites, and services that let you capture spoken thoughts and turn them into notes, tasks, reminders, checklists, and boards (the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Voice Ideas, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Voice Ideas. Notify us promptly at hello@voicethoughts.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The service

Voice Ideas records audio you choose to capture, transcribes it using third-party AI providers, and uses AI to organize the resulting text into structured items. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected — you are responsible for reviewing what is created before relying on it. We continually improve the Service and may add, change, or remove features over time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

break the law, infringe others’ rights, or violate anyone’s privacy;
record people without the consent required by the laws that apply to you — you are solely responsible for obtaining any consents needed before recording;
upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, probe or disrupt the Service, or circumvent rate limits and usage controls;
scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service, or use it to train competing machine-learning models;
impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

We may suspend or limit accounts that we reasonably believe violate these rules or put the Service or other users at risk.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the audio, transcripts, notes, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, sending audio to a transcription provider or generating an AI summary. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you submit.

6. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

Voice Ideas offers a free plan and a paid Pro subscription. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) through our payment processor. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal until you cancel.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again after that.
Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide partial-period refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.
Price & tax changes. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
App-store purchases.If you subscribe through a mobile app store, that store’s billing and cancellation terms also apply.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Voice Ideas and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for transcription, AI processing, hosting, analytics, and payments. Your use of the Service through those providers is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. See our Privacy Policy for the processors we use.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose. Do not rely on Voice Ideas for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voice Ideas and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create risk or liability for us. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you can export Your Content before terminating, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
